# Original GPX sources

Copy the original files manually into `tmb/` or `reference/`, using the exact
`source_filename` and `route_group` in `../../route_registry.json`. No original
GPX files are supplied here. Keep source bytes unchanged: do not resave, repair,
rename, or normalize their contents. If a filename differs, update the registry
deliberately rather than silently guessing which route it represents.

GPX files are ignored by Git; the directories and this documentation are tracked.
Keep a separate backup of the originals. Generation records their SHA-256 hashes.
